This weekend was VERY busy! Saturday after Colin helped Darcy move, we headed to Burlington to stay with his sister Chrissie. Saturday night we took his niece Hailey and her friend to Wonderland for the Halloween Haunt. Wonderland was AMAZING and terrifying. Colin and I went into one haunted house called "blood shed" basically it was an enclosed maze packed with people and monsters jump out at you, I was actually scared out of my mind. Colin protected me from the monsters and got us out safely ha ha.
They also had all these costume guys running around yelling and chasing us! At the end of the night, we tried to get a group picture, but instead Hailey and I ended up getting chased out of the park, screaming at the top of our lungs! We returned back to Chrissie's where Colin and I had the wonderful sleeping arrangement of a child size single bed ha ha. We made it work though!
Sunday we hung out with Molly, Colin's 5 year old neice, before heading off on our search for the perfect Halloween costume! After an hour and a half at the costume store we finally found a great idea - but it is a secret! After killing some more time in Burlington, we headed down to Toronto for the Get up Kids concert. We got into Toronto pretty early, and discovered that we were already exhausted, so we decided to check into our favorite hotel (since it was a block from the concert) instead of trying to drive home after midnight.
After we checked in we headed right over to the Phoenix to watch the Get up Kids reunite after 5 years! The concert was awesome! The concert was mostly for Colin, I had heard a few songs, but didn't know them that well, but after the concert I really like them a lot. Being introduced to a band live might be the best possible way to get into them!
After the concert we headed up the street to our favorite bar, and in a "it's a small world" moment, our server was someone that Colin knew from Goderich, a guy he grew up with and was an alter boy with! Crazy!
Monday morning we were EXHAUSTED and headed right back to London, before taking our rental car back we hit up the grocery store and bought some pumpkins to carve tonight at Tina's. The rest of the night was very quiet since we were exhausted!
All in all, we had yet another fantastic weekend together!
