"Nothing seems as strange as when the leaves begin to change"

COTTAGE WEEKEND!

Friday night we hoped on the road with Tina for a 4 hour car ride up to her cottage. There was little traffic which was amazing, we got in and cracked open a very large bottle of wine, which Colin and I polished off nicely within about 2 hours, needless to say, we were drunk and giggly before we passed out in the garage like accomedations.

Saturday had an amazing breakfast waiting for us when we woke up, which Tina was amazing for all weekend. Hung around on the dock, went tubing and paddleboating, before hitting up Tina's dad's legion for a night of Kareoke. Tina was nearly picked up by "green shirt" and Colin met his "could have been" self. All in all a great night was had.

Sunday we spent most of the day at the Kinmount fair. Tina and her dad were pretty excited about the demoltion derby that was taking place, but our attention span wasn't nearly long enough to watch more than the first round. Instead we hit up the Ferris Wheel...oh apparently I am deathly afraid of heights and had a mini panic attack at the top - ha, yes the Ferris Wheel, who knew. Anyway, in the end it was fine. We also played a game and won a stuffed pug, ate our weight in cotton candy and tried a deep fried mars bar for the first time ever! It was heaven! Sunday night we hit up a serious campfire and I had my very first s'more!

There are a million more pictures, but I am getting really bored/annoyed with the uploading on this, so this is all you get.

But the weekend was amazing, and wonderful and much needed, I have been missing my cottage for a long time, even though my parents house is in Muskoka and on the water. Today, they gave me exciting news that they bought property on Bass Lake, and are going to rebuild the property there! For awhile they will keep our Bracebridge home, and then Bass Lake will become their home, I am excited to have access to a lake again!
